story boarding

To day i started planing my shots for my story board of my short film Luck Coin I had started drawing my frames at uni and carried on wen i got home after i had finished drawing some frames i asked my housemate to have a look and give me he s apionion he had a look and made some suggestion witch wear a big help to me
these are the frames he help me with i have my original in a folder but will be putting them in my sketch book at some point the next step will be to couplet the story board clean it up in photoshop or illustrator and then start putting the animatic together with premier or after affects

TO day iv been looking at some development of my idea Lucky coin iv been think and look at different images and videos of slot machines I will post some picts and videos of what iv been looking at but to some it up iv been thinking that this idea will be relay good on account of time that i have for a film im pretty sure this would fit in to 1 min tops give or take 3o second for opining title and end credits
so one idea is to use found object iv been think of buying a little toy slot machine for this project or even build one out of metries as for the animation proses two things come to mind using stop-motion elements or after affects this could also have the elusion of motion graphics don with in after affects .

3) Lucky coin
i think this has more of a hummer to it so i would put it with in the adult of hummer
Idea of £1 coin going into gambling machine the person wins on it and one £1 coin rolls away unseen goes through peoples feet scuffled into dark corner un noticed cleaner notices it puts it in and plays and wins
audience

the style of witch i would do this is stop-motion pixillation of people
had a look at this viedo on you tube and i think i could use a style of after affects to achev what i want with this

With regards to the dyslexia film iv spent some time narrowing down what i want to do with this film

2) Dyslexia public info film
Audience varied depending on who i target

People seen struggling with dyslexia have different way of learning visually ,pictures,moving imagery. im looking at different audiences primary schools collages and adults at uni different metrals for leering as some dyslexics are at disadvantage
I feel the style of the film would be interesting to use mixed collage almost like Dada movement found objects and stop-motion.

This video i found on you tube and its a dada movement sort of film i relay like the way how the text has ben animated and this is something smiler to what i would like to trie with my dyslexia film but with a little more mixed imagery

Today iv also spent some time thinking more about the my design proses wen it comes to animation style and what i want to use so iv written a little about each story idea i have and what i want to use to make it each story idea is a rough concept.

1)The scarecrow -trailer
Adult horror
Someone creating s.c. he is an evil person collecting peoples souls he is an evil musion he brings the s.c. to life by playing a serton metal song this activates the s.c while this is happening there is a crow sat on Hess shoulder as the s.c is brought to life the crow is struck an becomes part of the s.c. the crow is Hess evil sidekick the crow goes into the peoples eyes and helps steel the souls
Proses stop-motion animation
The type of mood i want to give the film is a dark era type with many textures and an interesting crueler pallet i want the scare crow to have a specify look almost like corps bride and nightmare before christmas style of armature iv also looked at the movie 9 for a couler pallet that iv found interesting theres also a good use of textures.

Dyslexia research
Today i have been yousing the internet to research one of my ideas for my short film about dyslexia I have copied the url so that wen ever i want to reference something about this video it will be allot more easier and time saving for my self .

The short film is about
the story of a dyslexic kid struggling at school. Find out typical dyslexic difficulties and their strengths. Based upon the schooldays of the creator of the Nessy Learning Program.



I have contacted the person who posted this and have asked them if it would be ok if i could do an animation of this story I am just waiting to see if some 1 gets in touch.

I found this very useful as it was very accurate about learning difficulty's
This is the sort of film i would like to make but I am not sure if i have the time to make something as detailed as this because this has quit allot of info that needs to be in it so people can get a good idea about what dyslexia is its honest and true not just a bunch of pretty pictures thrown to gather .

the next film i found was a documentary about dyslexia and i started to get an idea from a scene in it we the teachers are giving a repot about the students way in how he works and gets on in the class room the link is below

Today has been a very busy day i met up with my mentor at uni to discuses how to organize my film and get it started so the first thing we did is talk about my ideas about my film and then we drafted up a rough Production timetable i think its a good idea to start planing my weeks because as i no from past experiences how fast time can creep up so iv given my self a good amount of time for both preproduction and post production the whole idea is to help me keep focus on what i need to do in those weeks so my next step is prioritizing what to do in the preproduction this will enclosed script development concept art my budget with the post production its all about making it happen getting the concept work developed and finalized so i can move on to make the film and do the animation as well as the end part burring the disk and designing the packaging and 1 sheet.

While organizing my self iv also decided to change my room and organize it a bit better so now it looks and feels like a mine studio Iv also decided to clean up my computer by giving it a clean instal so now it should run faster and smoother while i work on this project the next step is to get on with some design and concept and get a script organized ones thats sorted im going to start working on my animatic .
